What are the scales of your miniatures?
There are three dollhouse scales that are most popular in North America.
1:12 Scale or One Inch Scale: The most common dollhouse scale for houses, furniture and dolls is one foot to one inch or 1:12 ratio. To put that in perspective, think of a real life six foot couch scaled down to six inches for a miniature house. 1:24 or Half Inch Scale - Another popular scale that is growing in interest particularly among collectors is the small ½” equal to 1 foot or 1:24 ratio. This size makes these better for viewing than playing. View 1:24 scale houses.
1:6 Scale which is also called Playscale or Barbie Style Dollhouses – In this scale, one inch is equivalent to 6 inches in full size. These dollhouses are for children who want to use fashion dolls such as Barbie’s in their dollhouses. Most of the playscale dollhouses sold by The Magical Dollhouse accommodate fashion dolls up to 12’ tall. How do I find the dimensions of a product?
Dollhouses are listed with scale information and to whether they work with fashion size dolls. The smaller size 1:24 is listed in the title of the dollhouse but dimensions and scale information is provided on the detail listing for each product.

The dollhouse dolls on the Magical Dollhouse site are for use in the standard 1:12 scale dollhouses.
How do I find a dollhouse that is appropriate and safe for young children?

Do you have finished dollhouses?
Yes we do have finished dollhouses and we also have dollhouses that are available fully furnished.
What kind of dollhouse styles do you have?
The Magical Dollhouse has a large variety of dollhouses from 1800’s tenement buildings to ornate Victorian homes with all the gingerbread and detailing. Other styles that we have are log homes, townhouses, colonial homes, farmhouses, Tudor homes, cabins, lighthouses and cottages.
What kind of dollhouse materials do you have to customize a dollhouse?
If you wish to customize a dollhouse kit or restoring an older dollhouse, The Magical Dollhouse offers a variety of dollhouse materials for you to use. Listed in our Accessories section, we offer dollhouse windows, siding, shingles, windows and staircases.
Can any dollhouse have electric lighting added?
Most dollhouses can be wired for electric lighting. Currently we do not offer wiring kits.
I am a novice to dollhouses. Which kit would you recommend?
We have a variety of easy to build dollhouses that can be finished in a matter of minutes. The easy to build dollhouses require no nails or hammers just wood glue or a glue gun. All of our kits come with detailed instructions.
How can I find the dimensions of the product?
Product dimensions are available in the details section for products. You will also find the scale of the item, the age of child the item is recommended for, all dimensions, including the weight and the type of material the item is made from. Shipping information is also provided.
Do you have a catalog?
At this time we do not offer a paper catalog of our products but we are here to answer any questions you might have on any of our items.

Each item on our site has an approximate delivery time provided within the detail section for each product. Orders are normally processed and shipped out in 1-3 business days. Most orders take from 3-10 business days for your order to arrive.

Yes, all of the finished dollhouses are available for shipping. Shipping of any products over $50 are free if they are to be shipped within the continental United States.
