Miniatures in Poland: Pobiedziska Miniature Open Air Museum

In the only museum of its kind in Poland, the Pobidedziska Miniature Open Air
Museum is a sort of miniature garden park located in the region of Wielkopolska. The open air museum provides visitors with interesting miniature replicas of buildings of note that are located on the Piast Route. The miniatures include a palace in Rogalin, the Mouse Tower, Wenecja castle ruins, churches, a wind mill in Moraczewo, a farm, Koszuty Manor House, Ostrow Lednicki Palladium, palace in Antonin, cathedrals, Pozna Opera, Pobiedziska Old Market, Pozna Crosses, Pozna Old Market and the Psalteries.

Miniatures Museum of Taiwan: First Miniatures Museum in Asia to Specialize in Contemporary Miniatures


Lin Wen-ren and his wife fell in love with dollhouses and the world of miniatures as they traveled in different countries. They bought dollhouse kits and started collecting miniature accessories and furniture on their travels. They even joined international miniature art associations. The outcome of this interest in miniatures is the Miniatures Museum of Taiwan which the couple opened on March 28, 1997. The museum is the first museum in Asia to specialize and collect contemporary miniatures.

Trains and Miniatures at the Bekonscot Model Village & Railway in the UK

The Bekonscot Model Village and Railway located in Beaconsfield near London is
billed as the oldest and original model village. The miniature village first opened to the public in 1929 and contains an extensive model railway which surrounds the gardens and miniature buildings.
